Henry Butterworth is an artist from Sydney/Eora, Australia who has been based in Glasgow since early 2023. In 2022 Henry completed his Honours in Fine Arts at UNSW Art and Design. Henry's practice combines multiple disciplines which include photography, archival methods, installation and video. These mediums are used to explore themes of fact vs fiction within documentary making and archival material and the ecological and political changes that impact the subject matter. The various narratives and histories surrounding particular sites are uncovered and further revealed by combining traditional documentary photography methods and archival appropriations.
